The Rotterdam Rules: a new era in Uniform Transport Law

An International Congress on the Rotterdam Rules will be held in Madrid during the 17th and 18th of September. The Congress is organized by the Commercial Law Area of Carlos III University of Madrid. Its main purpose is to provide attendants with a thorought and insightful analysis of the Rotterdam Rules and an appropriate framework for the discussion of their contents. With that goal, the Congress will include interventions by several professors and professionals from the maritime and transport sectors, part of which played an active role in the negotiation and drafting of the Convention.
