On Friday, 16 May 2025, a dedicated session on Mobile Offshore Renewable Units (MORU) was held in the Fuyo Room East as part of the CMI Tokyo Conference 2025. The session, titled βUpdate on the Work of the Mobile Offshore Renewables Units IWG: NMLA Responses to the MORU Questionnaire and the (Possible) Case for a Unified MORU Legal Framework Covering Selected Topics,β brought together experts to discuss the legal challenges and opportunities presented by offshore renewable technologies.
