Post graduate course on maritime law and ports – LISBOA

Ann Fenech, in her capacity as the President of the CMI, accepted an invitation by Prof. Januario de Costa Gomes and Professor Catedratico at the Faculty of Law at the University of Lisbon, to lecture on the Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships.

The post graduate course, conducted online over a period of several weeks, is attended by lawyers, judges and marine services administrators interested in the practical application of Maritime Law.

Ann’s focus was on the various articles of the convention explaining the various unfortunate real life problems which occur when there is a failure to give proper effect to the free and unencumbered title of a purchaser and how the Convention attempts to overcome them.
