The Presentation of the Young CMI Essay Prize Winner 2024

During the CMI Tokyo Conference 2025, the winner of the 2024 Young CMI Essay Prize, Mr. Albano Gilabert Gascón from Spain, presented his paper:
“Standing of the Hull Insurer vis-à-vis Sub-Charterers: The Possessory Title Principle.”

The winning essay was praised by the judges for its in-depth and well-reasoned analysis of a complex topic, highlighting its practical relevance and original contribution to maritime insurance law. Mr. Gascón expressed appreciation for the opportunity to share his work on such a respected international platform.
