The Venezuelan Maritime Law Association – 10th International Maritime Law Conference – Isla de Margarita, Venezuela – 27-29 November 2024. 

The Venezuelan Maritime Law Association (Asociación Venezolana de Derecho Marítimo – AVDM) proudly invites the CMI National Maritime Law Associations and Members to its 10th International Maritime Law Conference to be held in Isla de Margarita, Venezuela on 27-29 November 2024. 

This event is being jointly organized by the Venezuelan MLA, WISTA Venezuela, the Venezuelan branch of Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Marítimo (IIDM) and the University of Margarita, and seeks to continue the Venezuelan MLA’s efforts in promoting maritime law locally, regionally and internationally as well as to continue contributing in furtherance of international uniformity of maritime law.  

The Conference will cover important issues by panels of national and international speakers that will discuss generally on: Shipping and Commerce, Conventions and Legislation, Organized Crime and its effects on Maritime Law, Technology in Maritime Law, Marine Insurance, Hydrocarbons, and among others, Women in the Maritime Industry.   

A social agenda for participants and guests is also being crafted as part of the program, in which we plan to visit local destinations and taste the local cuisine.
