Update Uruguayan MLA ( AUDM) – CMI Newsletter 2025/1

The Uruguayan MLA ( AUDM), has organized/participated recently in the following events in Uruguay :

• A) Seminar on Hazardous and Noxious Substances ( HNS)/ Importance of Draft Surveys. April 2024

• B) National Seminar of Maritime Law ( covered subjects : High Seas Treaty 2023, fishing matters in Uruguay, Montevideo port operations/current concerns, Liability limitation by ship abandonment: a study case, others). September 2024

• C) Pollution and alternative energy sources ( Pollution under Sea Law, sea carriage of GNL, Green Hydrogen). November 2024

• D) MOU between P&I IG Group and Uruguayan Coast Guard for coordination and response to maritime major accidents. Attendance March 2025

• E) River Plate Joint Seminar ( Argentina-Uruguay) ( subjects to be covered : Lex Maritima, Unmanned Surface Vessels, marine Insurance, comments on Courts´sentences, etc.). September 2025
