–Reflections or takeaways from the Tokyo Conference
Tokyo was a magnificent event and very well organized. We are of the opinion that a Conference shall last at least a week giving the attendees the necessary time to discuss all topics of interest, just like in Tokyo we had ample time for meetings and discussions, very very productive!
–Any noteworthy developments or initiatives within your Association
RUMLA has spent a significant amount of time and money researching the history of the Russian Maritime Law Society (est. 1905). We have located and copied numerous original documents from the first decades of the XX century, which have not been previously published. We have published the documents in an article in the Maritime Law Journal issue 1/2025, enclosed (please see page 10 and pages 42 – 71). You are free to share the Journal, the article, the photos and documents therein in full or in part.
We would be grateful to extend our research to the CMI archives, the Russian Maritime Law Society attended the CMI conferences since 1907 Conference in Venice.
