Cybercrime in Shipping

The CMI’s Cybercrime in Shipping IWG was formed after the New York Conference in 2016 during which an informative session was held on the topic.

The original purpose of the Group was to monitor and research this crucial area of shipping and its effect on legalities. The Group have continued to build up a resource of documentation on this page of the CMI site.  The Group has now expanded its area of reference as cyber risk in the maritime sector has increased significantly. The Group are now looking at how best the CMI can protect the maritime sector by providing reliable information and the potential to revise existing legislation and regulation. Readers are invited to submit queries, comments and suggestions for linking relevant sites or putting up documentation on Cybercrime in Shipping to the CMI admin-antwerp@comitemaritime.org or to any member of the IWG.
