Standing Committee on Academics
The purpose of the Standing Committee is to create an information and resources sharing network between maritime law academics worldwide and to promote participation of maritime law academics in the work of the CMI.
Many maritime law academics know each other, but there are always new faces, new developments, etc. Which maritime or transport law programmes is an institution offering? Are there grants or other support offered to enrol in these programmes? Which courses are being taught What are the (current) research interests? Which PhD candidates are working on which maritime or transport law topics? What is on offer in terms of PhD or postdoc positions, visiting lecturer positions, etc.?
The Academics SC aims to collect and disseminate such information, in all relevant ways (e.g. via the CMI website, sessions at CMI conferences, etc.)
The SC aims to involve anyone currently in academia (from PhD candidates to full professors), previously in academia, or interested in becoming an academic.
