2023 Montréal Conference
As President of the CMLA, and on behalf of the Comité Maritime International, I am pleased to invite members and delegates to CMI’s 2023 Conference in beautiful downtown Montréal.
Montréal is the second largest French-speaking city in the world, boasts the highest number of restaurants per capita in Canada and was the first UNESCO City of Design in North America.
Conveniently located in the heart of action at Le Centre Sheraton Montréal Hotel from June 14 to 16, CMI 2023 will once again bring together thought leaders in the field of maritime law from around the globe.
CMI 2023 will be chaired by newly minted CMI President Ann Fenech, the first woman to hold this post. Canada will be well represented by John O’Connor, recently elected as CMI Co-Vice-president serving alongside V.P. Prof. Dr. Dieter Schwampe of Germany.
Program information and registration details for the 2023 Conference will be available online through the CMLA website (as will Montréal visitor and tourism information) as well as comitemaritime.org/events.
Arrive for the Conference, stay for the cars!
The Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix takes place in Montréal following the Conference from June 16 to 18 – delegates may wish to consider extending their stay to take in this world-class event.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Montréal in 2023!
Paul M. Harquail
President – Canadian Maritime Law Association
