New CMI International working group on Decarbonisation
One of the decisions taken by CMI in Montreal was to approve the creation of a new IWG on Decarbonisation.
CMI has always been at the forefront of maritime trade responsible for drafting the majority of international maritime conventions. Today, one of the greatest challenges in maritime trade is decarbonisation. Whilst matters of policy, technology and regulation are abundant, legal aspects have not attracted the attention they deserve.
We have therefore decided to set up an IWG chaired by Haris Zografakis, Partner Stephenson Harwood, an expert on the contractual aspects of decarbonisation who heads a steering committee comprising Professor Charles Debattista, Joint Head of 36 Stone and Jolien Kruit, Partner Van Traa.
