What the judges said:
“This paper is one I enjoyed most in 8 papers submitted to this year’s competition. It is full of originality and ingenuity.”
“… three hypothetical cases are well constructed for the purpose and it makes this paper sufficiently original”
“A pleasure to read this essay!
The author starts with an introduction on ChatGBT and gives an overview of the different objectives of maritime dispute reslution. His subsequent comments are stringently measured against these objectives. In the main section of the essay the author conducts three own studies, showing how ChatGBT deals with legal issues. It is impressive to see what ChatGBT is capable of. This passage is particularly well done!”
“Fascinating, This paper has the author leaving the comfort zone of the ordinary”
